WVD MUN – Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all delegates participating in our We Value Diplomacy – Model United Nations which will be held Istanbul, Turkey. By registering for We Value Diplomacy – Model United Nations (hereafter referred to as “WVDMUN”), you agree to the following terms and conditions:

The information on this website is for general customer use only and may not be available in certain geographic areas. WVD MUN will use reasonable efforts to ensure that the content of this website is accurate and up-to-date. However, WVD MUN reserves the right to change the information at any time.

To be eligible to participate in the WVD MUN, participants must be at least 17 years old at the time of registration. Teachers, parents, administrators, are eligible to serve as faculty advisors

Registration can only be done through the official website of WVD MUN. (https://wevaluediplomacy.org)

All successful applicants will receive a Letter of Acceptance from We Value Diplomacy – Model UN (WVD MUN) highlighting their application status.

WVDMUN will provide maximum assistance to delegates with visa application questions through a visa support letter. However, WVDMUN cannot interfere with the final decision of the issuing State (Turkish Embassies). All fees are non-refundable, and it is your responsibility to secure the necessary documents to enter host country. Once payments to WVDMUN have been made, no refunds will be issued due to declined Visa applications. Please note that applying for a Visa presenting our letter of invitation does not automatically mean your request will be successful.

Registrants hereby certify by completing the registration process that all information submitted is truthful and accurate. The registrant understands that falsification of any information provided will disqualify him or her from participating in WVDMUN and future WVDMUN activities, and will result in legal actions against them.

Participants are expected and obliged to obey the laws of Istanbul, Turkey while participating at WVDMUN . Participants will be personally responsible for all charges and damages incurred by them to facilities of the conference and social event venues.

WVDMUN will not tolerate any instances of harassment or discrimination, including but not limited to those based on race, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, age, or disability status. Further, WVDMUN will not tolerate any instances of inappropriate behavior or unwelcome advances of a sexual nature. If any delegate, staff member, or advisor believes they have encountered harassment or discrimination, they are encouraged to bring it to the attention of the Secretary-General and President.

WVDMUN reserves the right to use all images and footage of the participants taken during the days of the conference both for communication purposes and to promote further editions of the conference.

WVDMUN shall not be liable for theft, loss or damage of participants‘ property during their stay at the venue.

The applicable law is Turkish law.

Cancellation Policy

If the retreat or event is cancelled by the organizer such as – but not limited to – insufficient number of participants or as a result of force majeure you will receive a full refund (100%) any refunds made will be paid via the original payment method.

If you cancel your participation in a retreat or event for any reason, you receive no refunds. We cannot however compensate you for airfare or travel costs incurred. All fees are non-refundable. Credit Voucher is available and can only be used at conferences organized by WVDMUN.

Certificate of attendance

A participation certificate will be issued for participation in the conference if the participant participated in at least 80% of the conference.

COVID-19

Due to the unpredictable nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, WVDMUN reserves the right to impose health restrictions including vaccine, mask, and testing mandates. Delegates, faculty advisors, and other attendees who do not comply may have disciplinary action taken against them as determined by the Secretariat.
